Royal Caribbean International: will I fit?

11 onboard attractions, the tender boats, and the shore excursions, for plus-size Royal Caribbean International guests, verified June 15, 2026, every figure carrying its source and its tier.

The restraint at the attraction, and the captain at the tender, are the only real answers. Cruise lines change ships, attractions, and excursion operators between seasons, and excursion limits are usually set by the local operator. Every figure carries its own source and date. The operator's harness or seat at the activity, and the captain at the tender, are the only real answers.
Onboard attractions
11 tracked. Onboard limits: partial. These are Royal Caribbean International's own limits.
Tenders
Royal Caribbean International publishes tender guidance (see below).
Shore excursions
Operator-set. Royal Caribbean International hands these to the local tour operator; figures below are a representative example, not a line standard.

Onboard attractions (Royal Caribbean International's own limits)

These limits belong to Royal Caribbean International: the slides, coasters, ropes courses, and similar built onto its ships. Where a limit is framed as "riders up to" a weight, that is what the restraint is built for. Where the line publishes no limit, we say so plainly rather than leave a blank.

Weight max is the conflicting field; RC's own Perfect Storm page did not render the numbers (secondary).

Secondary/community (also in RC's Icon FAQ PDF, which would not extract). The ~595 lb figure is a combined raft total, NOT an individual cap.

Tenders (Royal Caribbean International's own guidance)

A tender is the small boat that carries you ashore where the ship cannot dock. This is the line's responsibility, and the captain has the final call at the platform.

Royal Caribbean publishes a clear, directly readable tender policy: to board most tenders a guest must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair. Motorized wheelchairs and scooters cannot be taken on tenders unless roll-on capability is available, which is not guaranteed. For safety, staff are not permitted to lift guests or equipment, though they assist with manual wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. Weather and sea conditions can preclude tendering at the Captain's discretion, with no refund for a missed port. There is NO published weight number and NO step-height figure -- the requirement is functional ('able to take steps'), not numeric. per Royal Caribbean International, pending our direct verification

Confirmed from the accessibility page and corroborated by the UK help-center tender FAQ. Relevant point for larger/limited-mobility travelers: the 'able to take steps' standard plus the no-lifting policy; no weight or step-height number.

Shore excursions (Royal Caribbean International does not set these)

Shore excursions are run by independent local operators, and the limit is theirs, not Royal Caribbean International's. Each figure below is a representative example from one operator's listing. It is operator-set and varies by tour, so confirm the exact limit on your specific excursion before you book. Ask the operator, not the line.
